A Bittersweet Longing, by Pat

Every morning I waited for him to saunter off his house, and every time he hurriedly joined me; chivalrous and content, he always proposed to carry my lunch box, and made me believe in the tales of old of princess with their prince charming. Going to school with Xander was the highlight of my days, listening to him describe the latest Scoobidou television adventures to me, compensating for the fact that my dear parents wouldn’t allow a tv set anywhere in their precious little home was the highlight of my lunch hours. Having him teasingly work along me on our homeworks was of course a little bit wasted in terms of time and efficiency but oh so entertaining…

Today we still joke. Last night we had pizza. Tonight, we have to meet at the Bronze. Tomorrow we will have a research session. The entertainment is now provided by seeing my knight in a not so shining armor fumbling around the slayer, slave to Cordelia’s desire, earnest in being a part of this group of misfits we became almost without notice, one little fight at a time.

For the last few years I have grown, my body filling, my hair floating in the breeze with much more volume, my fingers long and lean itching to dance on his skin, my lips fuller and eager to be ravished. And with every passing week, it appears that what I could offer him will just be overlooked lost in the rubbles of life, buried behind the needs of the world, the hormones riding him so hard.

I’ve lingered for so long just to realize what I was waiting for; I’ve delayed telling Xander because I did not know how to distinguish between my so comforting friendship with him, my late hero worship of the boy, my newfound love for the man.

If I must suffer through this turmoil then I want him to do so with me. I want to understand while Xander Harris wouldn’t see me, the real me, the caring me, the one that loves him and wish he’d love me back.

Teasing Kiss, by Pat

Spying Cordelia asleep at her desk, I stop halfway down the stairs. I know the fake sleeper is awake and I know she doesn’t want to help me clean the basement.

I know how to wake Cordelia up, and if it takes her whole lunch hour, well more fun for me.

I sit myself on the floor, by her chair, and lightly place my mouth on the back of her hand. The smell is refreshingly delicious and for a moment I forget what I plan. Inhaling deeply I manage to deposit a feather light kiss on her skin. She moves slightly but nothing more than a tremble.

Far from being put off, I decide to go a little further in the game and open my mouth to let my tongue explore the tip of her thumb. I know it ought to tickle a bit so after a few seconds of that stimulation, I scrape my blunt teeth on the round pad and finish with a wet kiss on that beautiful extremity.

Still no movement, she is good, just not as good as the master. Who does she thinks I am? Angelus is laughing just at the idea of teaching that vixen what a demon like us can teach her in that regard!

I shift a little and bring her hand to fully cup my cheek, allowing me to reach everyone of those fingers. I envelop them with light kisses that are soon followed by a light sucking motion until I am satisfied that the moisture on those pads reflect her inner excitement.

From my position, I am on the front seat to appreciate how her body awakens to my presence. I won't stop there as I want her with me. I lick the inside part of her elbow, tickling, testing and soothing with my tongue, teeth and mouth the vulnerable area. She can't hold it and swishes her upper body, thrusting both arms under her head, pillowing the beautiful face of my seer.

I am so in for the kill! Rising slowly, I hunch my body over the desk, inches away from her closed eye and deposit a butterfly kiss on it. She can't hold the moan and I know she is at my mercy. She does manage to taunt me though with a whispered “Gunn, stop it!”

Ready to teach her a lesson, I put my arms behind my back, body away from her, and I allow my lips to draw her breath with a soft nibbling of her lower lips. Her body completely quivers, that's the moment I took to smother her with a full lip kiss starting on the upped corner of her mouth and sliding to the fuller side of those carnation lips. The exclamation coming from her is drowned in the cavern of my mouth and I take full advantage of my freebie.

That was just about the moment she shoved me away with both hands flat on my chest, adding, "What do you think you're doing perv?"

"Well, sensually waking up my ‘sleeping during business hours secretary’" was my quick reply. Before she had a chance to ream me a new one, I put the cleaning supplies on her desk and deftly fled the scene shouting, "Meet you downstairs in two minutes, Cordy!"

Oh, the sweet lips! They are covering my parched ones and give me so much more than hope. A breath of life infusing me with the blood I need to rise everywhere where it counts.

My hands frame her body, the amazing curves and commit her to my mind. My mouth tries to share my newfound beliefs with Cordelia and she leans even more into me. There is no part of my body that is not recharged by the contact.

Long lost electrons finally fires up in place of my brain that haven’t had a straight thought in weeks maybe even months. A hint of darkness tries to permeate my consciousness but I’d rather die than let it surface.

Tonight, she is reaching out to my belt, and I can’t stop moving to her imposed rhythm. I want fulfillment, even if on the edge of my fractured vision, fishes swim, and break my concentration. I focus, tonight I may have sex.

And in reality, the power of the mind is the only things that give me now a sense of sanity.

Title: DENIAL IS REALLY A RIVER IN SUNNYHELL! by PAT

I did not know what temptation was. I did not believe I could be as petty as wishing for something I could not have. In my own little mousy way, I thought I was protected from this emotion. After all, isn’t temptation for people that matters? I always disappeared in the background, unassuming and non-threatening. How could I experience temptation?

It’s so late at night, and I am so confused. Is it temptation or is it my just due to want what everyone else has? (sigh) Happiness, soon let’s hope.

Title: A LITTLE BIT OF … by PAT

I’ve been seduced before, and I have dome my share of seducing but what Nara is doing to me goes so much beyond. Every time she graces us of her presence, the bridge is a brighter place and my pants a tighter one… It’s corny and yet it doesn’t fail.

It’s not like she struts her stuff as the old saying was going but there is a subtle line to her neck that begs to be exposed. The slight movements of her skirt uncovering the most beautiful ankles I ever saw, and I wasn’t even a leg man! The whisper of her voice is sending the most erotic image of deep throating to my perverse mind, and her luminous eyes looks at me in such a mysterious way, I keep believing that she visualizes herself in a lively exploration of the whole Kama Sutra with me. That one never gets old… at least in my dreams.

The point is that Inara is just so much better than I am at seducing. It’s not that it is work for me but it is not the sum of who I am. She breathes seduction, and because of it, she got not just my heart, not just my soul, not even just my love, she has my total devotion.

I did not become Captain of the Firefly for power. Nope, I took the job because I was lazy. Yep, and not even ashamed of it.

That is the one job I can have without having a weenie, pansy ass telling me what to do, when to do it and how to do it.

Okay, that wasn’t about my laziness but about the hard time I have accepting to take orders. Still, it takes the edge of receiving orders. The heck it does!

So, yes, the next pleasure out of my riff-raff life is the knowledge that I can sleep on my deck, refuse a shipment, eat out of cans and play cards with the locals.

Today, I’m testing some waters… a hidden cove, a lush girl, and no worries in sight! Yes, a bit of laziness, as I said.

Well, that’s my definition of power, individual power, lasting power; to me, anyway.

Yesterday, he danced with me in the empty gymnasium, laughing at my jokes. Today, he is following Buffy like an eager puppy.

Last week, he brought me chocolate; this morning he had me give him lunch money, so he could share freakin’ cookies with his girls…

Last month, we weren’t yet together, and a different type of dance was at play; it has an old name that I wish I could forget: courtship.

Six in the morning; Alive. The hunger is alive, my mind is elated, my body is kicking.

Title: RABID PUPPY LOVE, by PAT

Ficlet:

How often can a beaten dog be kicked before he bites back? That will be the lesson of the day… At school, the bullies took turn to add to the lessons I was getting at home. What’s a little shove, or a little wedgie, when you’ve already had a bloody back?

I spit at the face of acceptance! I craved it like everybody else; I became a shadow of myself for the hope of some crumbs of it; I kissed way too many asses, told on way too many people, I even thought I loved. Once. The gutters weren’t deep enough for my shameful rebuttal, and still I did not get acceptance.

Today, I hold my spit for the one woman that gave it to me. She looked for me, she defended me, she enjoys me, she lives to do things with me and I accepted.

Now, she is the accepting light before the utter darkness, before the darkness I can dish out, before the world only see the monster in me, the monster I am, the monster they don’t realize is lurking in their backyard.
