Title: RABID PUPPY LOVE, by PAT

Ficlet:

How often can a beaten dog be kicked before he bites back? That will be the lesson of the day… At school, the bullies took turn to add to the lessons I was getting at home. What’s a little shove, or a little wedgie, when you’ve already had a bloody back?

I spit at the face of acceptance! I craved it like everybody else; I became a shadow of myself for the hope of some crumbs of it; I kissed way too many asses, told on way too many people, I even thought I loved. Once. The gutters weren’t deep enough for my shameful rebuttal, and still I did not get acceptance.

Today, I hold my spit for the one woman that gave it to me. She looked for me, she defended me, she enjoys me, she lives to do things with me and I accepted.

Now, she is the accepting light before the utter darkness, before the darkness I can dish out, before the world only see the monster in me, the monster I am, the monster they don’t realize is lurking in their backyard.

I am Spike.

Four in the morning; Almost. Two vamps tonight. Two monsters dusted.

Six in the morning; Alive. The hunger is alive, my mind is elated, my body is kicking.

Another day is welcoming Faith.

Yesterday, he danced with me in the empty gymnasium, laughing at my jokes. Today, he is following Buffy like an eager puppy.

Last week, he brought me chocolate; this morning he had me give him lunch money, so he could share freakin’ cookies with his girls…

Last month, we weren’t yet together, and a different type of dance was at play; it has an old name that I wish I could forget: courtship.

I did not become Captain of the Firefly for power. Nope, I took the job because I was lazy. Yep, and not even ashamed of it.

That is the one job I can have without having a weenie, pansy ass telling me what to do, when to do it and how to do it.

Okay, that wasn’t about my laziness but about the hard time I have accepting to take orders. Still, it takes the edge of receiving orders. The heck it does!

So, yes, the next pleasure out of my riff-raff life is the knowledge that I can sleep on my deck, refuse a shipment, eat out of cans and play cards with the locals.

Today, I’m testing some waters… a hidden cove, a lush girl, and no worries in sight! Yes, a bit of laziness, as I said.

Well, that’s my definition of power, individual power, lasting power; to me, anyway.

Title: A LITTLE BIT OF … by PAT

I’ve been seduced before, and I have dome my share of seducing but what Nara is doing to me goes so much beyond. Every time she graces us of her presence, the bridge is a brighter place and my pants a tighter one… It’s corny and yet it doesn’t fail.

It’s not like she struts her stuff as the old saying was going but there is a subtle line to her neck that begs to be exposed. The slight movements of her skirt uncovering the most beautiful ankles I ever saw, and I wasn’t even a leg man! The whisper of her voice is sending the most erotic image of deep throating to my perverse mind, and her luminous eyes looks at me in such a mysterious way, I keep believing that she visualizes herself in a lively exploration of the whole Kama Sutra with me. That one never gets old… at least in my dreams.

The point is that Inara is just so much better than I am at seducing. It’s not that it is work for me but it is not the sum of who I am. She breathes seduction, and because of it, she got not just my heart, not just my soul, not even just my love, she has my total devotion.

I did not know what temptation was. I did not believe I could be as petty as wishing for something I could not have. In my own little mousy way, I thought I was protected from this emotion. Title: BRAZIL…by PAT

Oh, the sweet lips! They are covering my parched ones and give me so much more than hope. A breath of life infusing me with the blood I need to rise everywhere where it counts.

My hands frame her body, the amazing curves and commit her to my mind. My mouth tries to share my newfound beliefs with Cordelia and she leans even more into me. There is no part of my body that is not recharged by the contact.

Long lost electrons finally fires up in place of my brain that haven’t had a straight thought in weeks maybe even months. A hint of darkness tries to permeate my consciousness but I’d rather die than let it surface.

Tonight, she is reaching out to my belt, and I can’t stop moving to her imposed rhythm. I want fulfillment, even if on the edge of my fractured vision, fishes swim, and break my concentration. I focus, tonight I may have sex.

And in reality, the power of the mind is the only things that give me now a sense of sanity.
